Can I teach after the instructor course?

Yes, you can. The sooner you start teaching, the better, and we offer everyone the possibility of teaching at least one or two courses, whether they join our freedive instructor courses or join us via zero to hero or internship.

The first step in this career path is to independently run two or three coaching sessions after the instructor course. Here, you’ll guide and coach our students with their open water or pool sessions. You will take care of the guests, set up their lines, do their safety, etc.

The next step would be to assist with a beginner course run by one of our instructors. This way, you’ll get an idea of different teaching styles and how to conduct academic and in-water activities yourself, and you’ll get a better idea of what it means to be an instructor.

Only after the coaching sessions and assisting the course can you teach 1 or 2 courses for us. We will then also pay you the teaching commission for the course – which means your first salary for being a freediving instructor.

If you have a question, and you couldn't find it here in our freediving knowledge base, please feel free to contact us at any time. We love talking to you, and usually, we'll get back to you within the hour. If not, then we're diving - our support heroes are freedivers too 😉
