The Freedive Academy Panglao is a world-class freediving instructor training center in the beautiful Panglao, Philippines. We are looking to add a highly skilled and experienced part-time or freelance SSI, Molchanovs, or AIDA Instructor Trainer to the team.
We are looking for this position for a minimum of 1-year commitment so the instructor trainer understands and shares the Freedive Academy training philosophy of steady but progressive growth. This Instructor Trainer will primarily teach one, or sometimes two, SSI, Molchanovs, or AIDA Freediving Instructor Courses per month.
The ideal candidate for this position would be an elite athlete interested in supporting their training by teaching instructor courses.
This is very important to us; while this role may be part-time or freelance, focusing on teaching and potentially training, it’s crucial that you become an integral member of both the team and the Freedive Academy family.
You should embrace our training principles, academy philosophy, and the enjoyable, familial, and professional atmosphere surrounding our academy. Despite the part-time nature of the position, we expect your active participation in nurturing and advancing our Freedive Academy community’s growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct high-quality SSI, Molchanovs, or AIDA Freediving Instructor Courses
Together with the Lead Master Instructor you develop training plans for students in preparation for the instructor courses.
Mentor and guide instructors and instructors in training
Assist in the organization and execution of local freediving events, competitions, and workshops
Collaborate with the management team to develop and improve course curriculums and materials
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students, staff, and visitors
Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive relationship with the freediving community
Help promote the academy’s services and programs through social media and other marketing channels
Requirements:
Current and active certification as a SSI, Molchanovs, or AIDA Instructor Trainer
Mimium employment commitment of 1-year
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Commitment to safety and adhering to industry standards and protocols
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Fluent in English (additional language skills are a plus)
