The Freedive Academy Panglao is seeking a Shop Manager of Filipino nationality for our new shop.
We are opening a retail store in Alona, the tourist area of Panglao Island. The primary objective of our new shop is the marketing of our freediving courses in the Freedive Academy, but we’ll also sell there high-quality freediving gear like Molchanovs, Double K, Mares, 2b Free, Octopus, etc.
About Us:
The Freedive Academy Panglao is a freedive center offering freediving courses to beginners all the way up to Instructors with a unique training location well suited for beginners all the way up to World Champions. We also run all sorts of freediving speciality courses, mermaid instructor courses, and swim teacher courses.
You’ll be working in an international team of professionals who love their jobs, love freediving and with the customers from all over the world. The team you’ll be working with is a fantastic team of very experienced Level 1 and Level 2 instructors as well as interns and a great support team – we also have staff in China and the Netherlands.

We haven’t decided on an exact schedule yet, but opening times of the new retail shop will probably be somewhere around 12 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. When you’re a freediver, and it doesn’t interfere with the job, you can always train in the morning.
Position Description and Responsibilities:
In your role as Shop Manager you’ll be managing a small team of people (probably at most 3 or 4 people), will you be organising work schedules, will you be responsible for the administration and finances of the new shop, and will you be the contact person with the bookkeepers and barangay officials. Furthermore, you’ll be helping out with the planning of courses, customer acquisition, and customer relations.

Ability to multitask and prioritise daily workload- Excellent organisational, time and communication skills

- Previous management work experience a plus
- Know how to drive a motorbike
