Description
The 70cm Double K Freediving Buoy
Of course, it’s safety first! A professional freediving buoy is mandatory for lake, sea or ocean practice for many reasons. We use the buoy to attach the safety or mooring lines, attaching dive flags, and warning up-coming boat traffic. We also need a good solid buoy because it allows the freediver to rest before and after the dive or in case – and in case of emergencies, we have something to hold on to, and the Double K freediving buoy is more than perfect for the job!
The Double K Freediving Buoy is probably one of the best engineered, thought over and well-designed buoys out there. The freediving buoy meets the standards, qualifications and requirements for a perfect and heavy-duty buoy professionally made for freedivers.
The specifications of the Freediving Buoy
The top of the Double K freediving buoy is made of canvas, and the bottom is of mesh. The mesh allows the water to flow freely, which foremost makes it an extremely stable freediving buoy when you’re in the water, rather than float at the surface. And when you come out of the water, the water flows out of it immediately, making it much lighter and thus easier to carry.
The freediving buoy has an ideal diameter of 70cm and can easily store an 80 to 90 meter 12mm line – when using a 10mm line, a line of 100 meters isn’t a problem either. The freediving buoy is made of a polyester fabric coated with PVC. The straps are made out of PES, and the buoy is tailored with high strength thread. The canvas top is equipped with a strong plastic YKK zipper for easy access and durability. The buoy has six small PES straps for hanging small gears like lanyards and six bigger straps for the freedivers to hang on while floating on the surface.
Lastly, the buoy is made lightweight, making the buoy easy to transport, and the colours bright yellow, red, blue and white will attract the attention of any approaching boat.
