The Octopus Bottom Plate is a highly hydrodynamic and compact training tool designed for freediving. A 21cm yellow fluorescent plate for visibility, reduces drag and ensures efficient training by mimicking competition conditions, helping divers get used to grabbing tags. Weighing 140 grams, it is made from ultra-robust ABS plastic, secured with 316 stainless steel screws, and works with ropes from 8mm to 12mm.
Designed by Swiss record holder Pascal Berger, the plate is simple yet efficient and made from high-quality materials for optimal training performance.
Hydrodynamic shape to drastically reduce drag while pulling the plate up thanks to its compact shape and wide holes
Ø 21cm, yellow fluorescent plate for excellent visibility underwater
Quick and robust mounting system (3 Phillips 316 stainless steel screws)
Weight: 140 grams
Material: ultra-robust ABS (thermoplastic polymer, same as our line stopper)
It works perfectly with a 10—to 12-mm rope and can be used with smaller ropes down to 8mm.
Regarding the mounting process, the bottom plate is divided into 3 parts: a plate and a center structure (identical to our safety stopper). A simple knot is placed in its center, and 3 stainless steel screws (standard cross-head) make it easy to finish putting it in place.
The new Octopus bottom plate is a simple and efficient design with unbeatable quality!
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
What you need:

Here is a basic reel to show you how hydrodynamic the shape is. Almost no resistance, going straight down! Video by Junya Kato

Rashid was my guide for both the glass bottom kayak and snorkeling. Had a great time with him and the sardines! He took really love pictures, and was so sweet and patient overall. I would love to come back and learn to free dive with him someday.

Our family participated in the Glass Bottom Boat Tour with the Panglao Freedive Academy. We had John, Rashid and Arnold as our tour guides. They were amazing an helpful, as were all the staff during our booking! I highly recommend you request for those tour guides if you plan on going! Thank you so much to all the staff for an amazing experience!

Level 1, 2 and 3 SSI then 3 months of master training and I've loved it. The academy is a great place to learn and train. Poolside is very chill and relaxed yet focused and knowledgeable with all the trainers and masters. You can very much be focused on your own goals and train at your own pace! Then the line diving at Napaling reef is fantastic.
The staff are super helpful and friendly as well. I've loved my time here and hope I can come again!
