Many consider Filipino food as the up and coming star of the culinary universe. While you’re in the islands, why don’t you give it a go? Make sure you have a liking for rice, and then try it with the different traditional ulam or viands. From the staple adobo to the comforting sinigang (sour stew) to the more adventurous dinuguan (blood stew), you might just meet your favourite Filipino dish. The country also offers a variety of snacks or meriendas and desserts (this includes the famous halo-halo!) to choose from. Just make sure to try it, and have a taste of Filipino culture.
