South Palms Plane Wreck Tour

Discover one of the popular freediving gems of Panglao, Bohol. At about 6 to 8 meters in depth, the airplane wreck is very accessible even for beginner freedivers. The easy accessibility, shallow depth, and vibrant colors result in the most amazing photos and videos.

We have two options for getting into the Panglao plane wreck. The first one is that we swim all together with buoys and floats from the beach at South Palms Resort, which is about a 10-minute swim. The second option is via awaiting Banca (Philippine native boat) close to the plane wreck, bringing you directly to the wreck and dive spot. This is the more expensive option but offers a nice ride and resting point for those looking to take a break from diving and photos.

This 2-hour freediving tour will be one to remember. After the tour, you will enjoy your free (non-alcoholic) drink at the amazing South Palms Resort, which, with its white beach and palm trees, is also a breathtaking photo opportunity.

Swimming & Whale Shark Watching in Lila Bohol

In the small coastal town of Lila in the South of Bohol, whale shark watching is now possible and is tremendously popular. However, it is also quite controversial because whale sharks only migrate along Lila and Bohol and don’t naturally gather in Lila. The Lila whale sharks are hand-fed, ‘guaranteeing’ they will show up to excite guests, who can snap close-range photos—the feeding only happens in the morning.

Upon arrival, tourists must attend a short mandatory briefing on how to behave around the whale sharks. The rules are strict: no touching, riding, or flash photography, and at all times, keep at least six feet (1.5 meters) away from the whale sharks.
